Le Danse students wowed their audiences this past June at their annual showcase entitled "Art of Dance 2019”
Congratulations to all students and parents of Le Danse for an outstanding showcase this past June at the Wayne YMCA. Both recreational students and competition students entertained their audience with their wonderful performances in lyrical, tap, ballet, jazz, musical theatre, contemporary, hip hop and of course our showstopping Father Daughter production.
Le Danse has been well known for their Father Daughter classes. It has been a tradition at the studio for the past 33 years. It is an opportunity for fathers and daughters to share a fun and exciting activity together. It is a wonderful way to hold memories close to our hearts as our children grow up.
Our showcase featured dancers ranging in age from 3 years old through adults. The dancers performed for two packed houses in their matinee and evening showcases, entitled "Art of Dance 2019."
Winners of our 2019 scholarship winners were announced and cheers were heard by all. Each year Le Danse awards scholarships for the highest ticket seller, the highest fund-raiser participant and our most prestigious award, our Le Danse Achievement Award which is awarded to the student who has shown the most improvement throughout the year.
Our competition teams wowed the audience with their award winning routines. This year our competition dancers won a total of 28 Platinum Awards, 15 Elite Top First Place Awards, 7 Extreme Gold Awards, 7 Top First Place Awards, 3 High Gold Awards. In addition to these adjudicated awards, Le Danse won 57 Overall High Score Awards in Solo, Duet/Trio, Group and Production Categories, 2 Excellence in Choreography Awards, 2 Excellence in Entertainment Awards, Excellence in Tap Award, 8 Special Judges Awards, 4 Scholarship Awards, 6 Photogenic Awards and 3 Best Costume Awards. Le Danse was also awarded the 2019 Excalibre Award at DanceXplosion for 4 years in a row!
Le Danse has an all professional staff where all students of all ages and levels have a rewarding experience. Both recreational and competitive level students shine and have the experience of not only dancing for fun, but also excelling competently in a professional, yet friendly environment.
The studio's curriculum includes classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, pointe, musical theatre & technique for ages 8 & up, beginner through advanced levels. Our children's programs consist of our original Preschool class for 2-1/2 - 4 yr olds. Our Children's Workshop classes are for students age 5-7 years old. Preschool & Children's Workshop classes consist of basic fundamentals of ballet, tap & jazz concentrating on confidence & performing ability. While Preschool classes are created to be more playful & perfectly suitable for the preschool aged child, our children's workshops are more structured & focus more on technique, however still hold a variety of fun & excitement in every class.
Our adult classes are fun and energetic and consist of both jazz and tap. Le Danse has adult alumni that returns each year for dance class. And of course, let's not forget our Father/Daughter classes which are a Le Danse original and have become a yearly tradition. Le Danse also offers workshops in Acting/Theatre, Voice, Ballroom, Yoga & Pilates.

Le Danse is proud to celebrate 33 years in the Wayne community. Under the directors, Diane Raimo and Patty De Dio, the studio holds membership in Dance Educators of America as well as BMI, ASCAP and SESAC. This past June, Le Danse held their annual showcase, entitled, “Dance Fusion 2018.” Students wowed the audience with their performances featuring the fusion of ballet, lyrical, tap, jazz and hip hop. We are very proud of our dancers for such an amazing performance.
Preschool dancers brought a smile to everyone’s face with their rendition of “Marry You.” Their experience at their first dance recital will be remembered forever. Le Danse competition team dancers proudly astounded the audience with their award winning routines and productions and of course, our Le Danse tradition, our Father Daughter number wowed the audience with their outstanding production of “Uptown Funk” and finale of the show. Congratulations to all of our dancers for an outstanding performance.
Le Danse's competition team dancers took home high honors at Nexstar, Beyond the Stars, Kids Artistic Revue and DanceXplosion competition throughout this season. In total, the studio was honored with 33 Platinum, 7 Extreme Gold, 2 Top Elite, 18 Top First and 21 High Gold Awards. They also won 68 Overall High Score Awards, 18 Special Judges Awards, 11 Invitations to perform at National Competitions and 7 Studio Awards, including choreography awards to directors, Diane Raimo and Patty De Dio. Congratulations to our veteran team members, Jackelyn Aguilera, Keira Frech, Sanjana Jayanth, Sydney Cahn, Ava Cahn, Emily Frech, Elizabeth Vivino, Brooke Scott, Delaney Williams-Healy, Aparna Jayanth, Emma Greene, Mackenze Glassman, Victoria Paylo, Olivia Black, Allison Gorelik, Natalie Ritacco, Cristiana Mollica, Eva Morante and Katherine Gurda. Another set of congratulations go to our novice team members for their outstanding awards for their tap routine, “Hot Honey Rag.” Bravo to Lilly Barbera, Gaby Becker, Alondra Dumeng, Savannah Milton, Sophia Patula, Aubrey Morrison, Erilys Munoz and Grace O’Melia. LE DANSE - 32 YEARS OF DANCE in the Wayne Community!
Le Danse is proud to celebrate their 32nd anniversary in the Wayne community. This past June, Le Danse held their annual showcase, which was a huge success. The showcase entitled, “So You Think You Can Dance – Le Danse Generation 2017” wowed the audience with talented dancers performing in all genres of dance. We are very proud of our dancers for such an amazing performance.
It was a bittersweet moment for senior dancers Gianna Raimo and Allie DeSimone, as they performed in their last recital before leaving for college. The girls were surprised by their Dads after their performance with their last presentation bouquets. Tears were shared by students, parents and all audience members. Le Danse Directors, Diane Raimo & Patty De Dio wish the girls well and will miss them immensely. They have been a huge part of the Le Danse family, not only were they students, but they were also faculty members who are loved by their students. We wish them much success in their next stage of life!

In total, the studio was honored with 11 Top Elite, 8 Elite, 27 Platinum, 9 High Gold, 2 Superior, 8 Top First and 11 Elite Top First Place Awards. They also won 69 Overall High Score Awards and 11 Special Judges Awards and 14 Invitations to perform at National Competitions. Our youngest lyrical group, The Meadow, won the Excalibre Award at DanceXlosion and was the highest scoring group in the entire competition. The studio was award the Highest Scoring Primary Studio Award at Kids Artistic Review and director, Diane Raimo was awarded an Excellence in Lyrical Award at DanceXplosion. LE DANSE - 31 YEARS OF DANCE in the Wayne Community!
Le Danse, a contemporary studio for professional dance instruction is proud to be celebrating 31 years in the Wayne community. Under the direction of Diane Raimo and Patty De Dio, the studio has received many awards and accolades throughout the years. The studio holds membership in Dance Educators of America as well as BMI, ASCAP and SESAC.
Last month, Le Danse held it annual showcase at the Wayne YMCA and once again it was a huge success. The showcase entitled, “Dance Extremes 2016” consisted of various dance styles interpreting the extremes of dance. Our ballet production, Masquerade Ballet highlighted our ballet classes through a wonderful assortment of music set at a Masquerade Ball. Another of our productions brought to life all of the characters of the popular game, Clue, as they traveled through our mystery mansion to find solve the mystery. Our annual tradition, Father/Daughter production number portrayed one of the rooms of the mystery mansion entertained the audience through their rendition of I’m In Love with a Monster, Dads were Frankenstein and Daughters were the Brides of Frankenstein. It was probably our most loved Father Daughter production in 30 years.
Le Danse's competition team dancers took home high honors at Beyond the Stars, DanceXplosion, Open Call and Kids Artistic Revue Regional Competitions. In total, the studio was honored with 24 Platinum, 7 Extreme Gold, 11 High Gold, 13 Elite Top First, 18 Gold and 10 Top First Place Awards. They also won 58 Overall High Score Awards and Special Judges Awards for “Ultimate Emotional Execution, Total Artistry, Exceptional Personality, Exceptional Dynamics, Seamless Execution, InSync, Pure Passion, Mini Diva, Characterization and Most Entertaining." Many of our students received cast invites to perform at National Competitions and Scholarships to Summer Intensives throughout the country. These winners were Gianna Raimo, Keira Frech, Brooke Scott, Ellie Field, Delaney Williams-Healy, Emily Frech, Emily Goodrich, Elizabeth Vivino and Allie DeSimone. Director Diane Raimo won a Choreography Award at Beyond the Stars and DanceXplosion and Director, Patty De Dio was awarded an Ultimate Entertainment Award at Beyond the Stars. JOIN THE DANCE STUDIO OF CHAMPIONS
Wayne – Le Danse would like to congratulate its competition teams and staff on an outstanding 2014/15 dance season. The studio has won multiple Overall High Point and Overall High Score Awards as well as Special Judges awards, Invitational Awards, Costume Awards and Choreography Awards this season in every age level, category and subject they competed in at all 5 Regional Competitions throughout the state of New Jersey!! In addition, the studio consistently placed in the Top Ten High Score/High Point Awards at each Regional they attended!! A total of nine 1st Place Overall High Scores, eleven 2nd Place Overall High Score Awards, three 3rd Place Overall High Score Awards, five 4th Place Overall High Score Awards, four 5th Place Overall High Score Awards one 7th Place Overall High Score Award. Teens/Seniors Top Twenty one 10th place, one 7th place, one 12th place and one Overall Trio Championship Award. In Addition Le Danse won total of 61 Platinum, High Gold, and Gold Awards this season. Le Danse started the season in December when the studio was invited to compete at World Cass Talent Experience Dance Competition for the filming of episode 8 of the popular Lifetime show "Dance Mom's." Gianna Raimo performed "The Way You Make Me Feel” Jazz solo and won a Platinum Award for her performance. It was very exciting to be a part of the Invitational filming and to see how the show is filmed and what happens behind the scenes!! Next stop was Showstopper National Talent Dance Competition. Le Danse Group Lyrical "Imagine,” Group Jazz "Proud Mary" and Musical Theatre Trio "Diamonds”' all won 1st Overall High Score Awards. Tap Trio "Jack Your Dead,” Solo "Smile" and Musical Theatre Trio "Copacabana" won 2nd Overall High Score Awards. Lyrical Trio "Yellow" won 3rd Overall High Score, "A Mothers Prayer" Lyrical Solo and "Girlfriend" Jazz Solo won 4th and 5th Overall High Score Awards. Jazz Solo "Do Wah Diddy" won a 7th Overall High Score Award. Special Honors continued over the weekend going to Lyrical group "Imagine" which won a "Best Choreography Award " for studio director and choreographer of "Imagine" Diane Raimo, and "Best Costume" Award also won for Elizabeth Vivino's solo "Smile"!! Open Call Dance Competition was next on the Regional schedule and once again the competition teams did an outstanding job! Lyrical Trio 'Yellow" and Jazz Solo "Girlfriend" each won 2nd Overall High Score Awards. “Copacabana" and "Diamonds" Musical Theatre Trios both won 1st Overall High Score Awards. Tap Trio "Jack Your Dead," Lyrical Solo "A Mothers Prayer" and "Do Wah Diddy" Jazz Solo won 4th Overall High Score Awards. Lyrical Group "Imagine" won 1st in its category and 3rd Overall High Score Group and Musical Theatre Group '"Hit It Up" won 5th Overall High Score Awards. The studio's dancers Leah Caruso and Emily Krassowski were selected out of hundreds of dancers who competed over the weekend and were invited to perform in the Cast Opening number at Showstopper Nationals this summer. Kids Artistic Revue Dance Competition also awarded Le Danse with Top Honors! "Yellow" Trio won 2nd Overall High Score Lyrical Trio, "Diamonds" Trio won 2nd Overall High Score Musical Theatre Trio, and "Copacabana" Trio won 1st Overall High Score Musical Theatre Trio!! Lyrical Solo "A Mother's Prayer" won 5th Overall High Score and "Smile" Solo won 3rd Overall High Score. "Girlfriend" Jazz solo won 2nd Overall High Score. Musical Theater solo "The Way You Make Me Feel," Gianna Raimo won a Platinum and placed 7th, "Little Love" Lyrical/Contemporary Solo, Gianna Raimo won a Platinum and placed 10th, "When You Sleep" Lyrical Solo, Allie DeSimone placed 12th. "Imagine" Lyrical Group placed 5th and "Proud Mary”Jazz Group placed 4th!! "Yellow" Lyrical Trio dancers, Emily Frech, Emily Goodrich, Elizabeth Vivino and "Girlfriend" Jazz Soloist, Leah Caruso were selected out of all the dancers at the competition and were invited to travel to Los Angeles California to perform in the Cast's Opening number performance this summer at KAR’s Nationals!!! Last, but not least, the studio ended the very exciting competition season at Beyond The Stars Dance Competition. "Copacabana" Musical Theatre Trio took home 1st Overall High Score, "Hit It Up" Musical Theatre group also won 1st Overall High Score. "Diamonds” Musical Theatre trio won Platinum and 1st Overall High Score. Jazz Group "Proud Mary" won a Special Judges Award for "DIVA'S" and 2nd Overall High Score. Tap Trio 'Jack your Dead" and Jazz solo "Girlfriend" won 2nd Overall High Score. “Imagine" Lyrical Group took home first place in category and 3rd Overall High Score. "Yellow" Lyrical Trio won 'The Championship Award" and Leah Caruso won A Special Judges Award for "Most Entertaining" for her Jazz Solo 'Girlfriend.” "Little Love" Contemporary Soloist Gianna Raimo won a Platinum, "The Way You Make Me Feel,” Musical Theatre Soloist, Gianna Raimo won a Platinum and "When You Sleep,” Lyrical Soloist Allie DeSimone won a High Gold.. More exciting news came earlier in this season when Gianna Raimo and Stephanie Isaaccson got news of their acceptance in both "The Rockette Summer Intensive" and "Joffrey Ballet Summer Intensive" once again this year!! CONGRATULATIONS Girls!! Can't wait for another summer at Radio City and the performance at Skirball Performing Arts NYC!!! We have excellent children’s programs available for preschoolers ages 2-1/2 – 4 years old. The program consists of a ballet, jazz and tumbling class that incorporates basic fundamentals of dance as well as singing, games, coordination, use of props and of course, fun. Our children’s workshop classes are for ages 5-7 years old and it consists of ballet, tap and jazz in a one hour session. The focus of our children’s classes is learning dance fundamentals as well as poise, confidence, camaraderie and sharing an art form that is also fun. Our recreational classes are for students age 8 & up. We have beginner through advanced levels. We also have a fabulous adult program that is fun and inspiring. And of course Le Danse is the originator of the Father/Daughter and Mother/Daughter dance classes which are always a huge success. Le Danse offers courses in Body Conditioning and Workout, Acting/Theatre, Yoga, Pilates and Ballroom. In addition to group instruction, we offer private instruction. We are known for our Wedding Day choreography for the wedding couple or bridal party. We can create choreography for any personal occasion such as anniversaries, Sweet 16, etc. Le Danse is a neighborhood studio where lasting relationships are made on a daily basis. Our students from 2-1/2 years of age through adults, beginner through advanced levels, can learn, perform and compete in a family-like environment with an all professional staff. Le Danse would like to congratulate it's competition teams and staff on an outstanding 2014/15 dance season. The studio has won multiple Overall High Point and Overall High Score Awards as well as Special Judges awards, Invitational awards, Costume awards and Choreography awards this season in every age level , category and subject they competed in at all 5 Regional Competitions throughout the state of New Jersey!! In addition, the studio consistently placed in the Top Ten High Score/ High Point Awards at each Regional they attended!! A total of 9 Ist Place Overall High Scores, 11 2nd Place Overall High Score Awards, 3 3rd Place Overall High Score Awards , 5 4th Place Overall High Score Awards, 4 5th Place Overall High Score Awards 1 7th Place Overall High Score Award . ~Teens/Seniors Top Twenty 1~10th place 1~7th place and 1~12th place and 1 Overall Trio/Championship Award. In Addition Le Danse won total of 61 Platinum, High Gold, and Gold Awards this season.
Le Danse started the season in December when the studio was invited to compete at World Cass Talent Experience Dance Competition for the filming of episode 8 of the popular Lifetime show "Dance Mom's ". Gianna Raimo performed "The Way You Make Me Feel " Jazz solo and won a 5* Platinum Award for her performance. It was very exciting to be a part of the Invitational filming and to see how the show is filmed and what happens behind the scenes!!
Next stop was Showstopper National Talent Dance Competition. Le Danse Group Lyrical "Imagine", Group Jazz "Proud Mary", and Jazz Trio "Diamonds "' all won 1st Overall High Score Awards. Tap Trio "Jack Your Dead" , Solo "Smile" and Jazz Trio "Copacabana" won 2nd Overall High Score Awards. Lyrical Trio "Yellow" won 3rd Overall High Score. "A Mothers Prayer " Lyrical Solo and "Girlfriend" Jazz Solos won 4th and 5th Overall High Score Awards. Jazz Solo "Do Wah Diddy"" won 7th Overall High Score Award. Special Honors continued over the weekend going to Lyrical group "Imagine" which won a "Best Choreography Award " for studio director and choreographer of "Imagine" Diane Raimo, and "Best Costume " Award also won for Elisabeth Vivino 's solo "Smile"!!
Open Call Dance Competiton was next on the Regional schedule and once again the competiton teams did an outstanding job! Lyrical Trio 'Yellow" and Jazz Solo "Girlfriend " each won 2nd Overall High Score Awards ."Copacabana" and "Diamonds " Jazz Trios both won 1st Overall High Score Awards. Tap Trio "Jack Your Dead," Lyrical Solo "A Mothers Prayer " and" Do Wah Diddy " Jazz Solo won 4th Overall High Score Awards. Jazz Lyrical Group "Imagine" won 1st in it's category and 3rd Overall High Score Group and Jazz Group '"Hit It Up " won 5th Overall High Score Awards . The studio's dancers Leah Carusso and Emily Krassowski were selected out of hundreds of dancers who competed over the weekend and were invited to perform in the Cast Opening number at Showstopper Nationals this summer.
Kids Artistic Revue Dance Competiton also awarded Le Danse with Top Honors! "Yellow" Trio won 2nd Overall High Score Lyrical Trio, ~"Diamonds " Trio won 2nd Overall High Score Jazz Trio, and "Copacabana" ~Jazz Trio won 1st Overall High Score!! Lyrical Solo "A Mother's Prayer" won 5th Overall High Score and "Smile" Solo~ 3rd Overall High Score . "Girfriend " Jazz solo won "2nd Overall High Score ! ~ Musical Theater solo "The Way You Make Me Feel""~ Gianna Raimo placed 7th, "Little Love" Lyrical/Contemp Solo ~Gianna Raimo placed 10th ~ "When You Sleep" ~Lyrical Solo Allie DeSimone placed 12th. "Imagine" Lyrical Group placed 5th and "Proud Mary "Jazz Group placed 4th!! Yellow "Lyrical Trio~ Emily Frech, Emily Goodrich, Elisabeth Vivino and "Girlfriend" Jazz Soloist Leah Caruso were selected out of all the dancers at the competition and were invited to travel to Los Angeles California to perform in the Cast's Opening number performance this summer at KAR's Nationals!!!
Last, but not least ,the studio ended the very exciting competition season at Beyond The Stars Dance Competiton. "Copacabana" Jazz Trio took home 1st Overall High Score, "Hit It Up" Jazz group also won 1st Overall High Score. "Diamonds " Jazz trio won Platinum and 1st Overall High Score .Jazz Group "Proud Mary won A Special Judges Award for "DIVA'S" and 2nd Overall High Score. Tap Trio 'Jack your Dead " and Jazz solo "Girlfriend" won 2nd Overall High Score. "Imagine" Lyrical Group took home first place in category and 3rd Overall High Score. "Yellow" Lyrical Trio won 'The Championship Award" and Leah Caruso won A Special Judges Award for "Most Entertaining" for her Jazz Solo 'Girlfriend". "Little Love" Lyrical Solo Gianna Raimo, received a Platinum Award",The Way You Make Me Feel" ~ Jazz Solo~ Gianna Raimo also received a Platinum and "When You Sleep' H Lyrical Solo Allie DeSimone received a "High Gold".
More exciting news came eariler in this season when Gianna Raimo and Stephanie Issaccson got news of their acceptance in both "The Rockette Summer Intensive" and "Joffrey Ballet Summer Intensives." once gain this year!! CONGRATULATIONS GiIRLS!! Can't wait for another summer at Radio City and the performance at Skirball Performing Arts NYC !!!

LE DANSE – CELEBRATING 30 YEARS IN THE WAYNE COMMUNITY
This year, Le Danse is celebrating 30 years in the Wayne community and is extremely proud of their students’ accomplishments throughout the past 30 years. The studio produces annual showcases that high-light the talent of our students, the expertise of our staff and provide the utmost in entertainment. Le Danse has been awarded the Best Dance Studio Award by voters of the Wayne Patch Readers Choice Awards. This year our showcase entitled, “Puttin’ On The Glitz 2014” brought you heart-felt performances by our preschool performers and our annual Father/Daughter performance as well as our creative production of “Alice In Wonderland.” Our showcase also highlighted our showstopper performances by our award winning competition teams.
Le Danse is proud to congratulate their competition dancers on an amazing season of Regional Dance Competitions. The studio took home top awards at each dance competition, and as always, represented their studio proudly. Regional Competitions included Nexstar National Talent Competition, Showbiz National Talent, Groove Competition and Kid's Artistic Revue. The hard work & long hours of practice paid off for these talented dancers as they have received many top awards and accolades.
Le Danse Top Teen Scoring Soloists, Gianna Raimo and Allie De Simone were Platinum Award Winners. Malina Hubinger, another soloist received a First Place Award & won a Select Summer 2014 NYC Dance Scholarship Winner. In total our teen soloists were awarded 3 Platinum, 5 High Gold, 5 Gold, 4 Top First Place Awards, 1 Overall High Score and 1 First Place Award. These girls were also awarded several 1st place awards in their category/tie breakers. CONGRATULATIONS TEENS!!! Our new lyrical trio, ages 7-8, "Isn't She Lovely" took home 2 High Gold Awards, 1 Top First Place Award as well as 1st, 2nd and 3rd Overall High/Top Score Awards. Jazz group "Disco Divas” ages 8-9 also took home 1 Platinum and 2 High Gold Awards as well as 4th, 5th and 7th Overall High Score Awards. These young dancers have only been competing for 2 seasons and were in a word, Outstanding!! Jazz teen group "Diva" also won 1 Gold, 1 High Gold and 1 Top First Place Award as well as 9th Overall High Score Small Jazz Group. "Tag Me" a new jazz group competing for the first time won 2 Gold and 1 Top First Place Award. These dancers also received Select Summer NYC Dance Scholarships. Way to go !! Musical Theater Group "Strongest Suit" won 2 High Gold Awards, a 9th Place Overall High Score Award, a High Gold Award and a 3rd Place Overall High Score Award. Our tiny dancers "Mini Housewives of NJ" ages 5-6 also rocked the stage & this dance wowed the judges. These youngest dancers were competing for the very first time & achieved high top honors with 2 High Gold Awards and 1 Top First Place Award. These Dancers also won a Special Judges Award for Outstanding Concept/Choreography. Go Mini's!! Diane and Patty would like to thank their very supportive parents, dancers and staff for their hard work and positive energy. You all Rock!! Le Danse was proud and honored to have these Outstanding Dancers do so exceptionally well this season. Bravo on these Great Performances!!

Le Danse is very proud to congratulate Gianna Raimo for her second year’s acceptance into the Rockette Summer Intensive Showcase. Also, two of our instructors, Stephanie Isaacson and Sarina Taggart were selected for their third year at the Rockette Summer Intensive Showcase. The summer intensive program is part of the Rockette Dance Education Program and offers upcoming young dancers the opportunity to audition and study with Rockette directors and choreographers as well as Radio City Rockettes. This year the Showcase highlighted choreography from the new “Hearts and Lights” show at Radio City. This is an important accomplishment for these dancers since they auditioned with thousands of other dancers throughout the country. The friendships that these dancers made during the Intensive are friendships that will last a lifetime. 3 Local Dancers in Rockettes Summer Intensive

Le Danse, a contemporary studio for professional dance instruction in Wayne congratulates Gianna Raimo, Stephanie Issacson and Sarina Taggart on their recent performance in the Rockette Summer Intensive Showcase.
The summer intensive program is part of the Rockette Dance Education Program and offers aspiring dancers the opportunity to audition & study under Rockette director/ choreographers and Radio City Rockettes. Former graduating students, Stephanie Isaccson & Sarina Taggart auditioned back in January along with 1000 other hopefuls from across the country. This year student, Gianna Raimo, also auditioned and attended the intensive in July. Stephanie & Sarina also made the cut & attended the Intensive this past July.
Proud directors and dance teachers Diane Raimo and Pat DeDio of Le Danse attended the performance showcase this past July. It was a proud moment for them and for their dancers. The girls have been dancing since they were little , Stephanie has studied at Le Danse since the age of five and Sarina came to the studio 3 years ago wanting to better herself and her dance skills. Gianna grew up in the studio and has danced since she was 2-1/2 years old under the direction of her proud Mom, Director, Diane Raimo and is also part of the studio’s competition dance team. The years of hard work and studies in dance classes have certainly paid off.
To see them now up on stage , accomplishing their goals and dreams was amazing for their parents and teachers. It was a fantastic experience to train with the legendary Rockettes as well as to gain the invaluable techniques taught at the Intensive.

LE DANSE – 2013 THE DANCE STUDIO OF CHOICE

This past June, Le Danse once again had a full house at their 28th “DANCE ARTISTRY 2013” which was held at the Wayne YMCA. The studio, located in Wayne community for the past 28 years, produces annual showcases that high-light the utmost in talent, creativity & entertainment. This year’s showcase presented our dancers in artistic and interesting pieces each with an individual dance concept. Our tiniest dancers performed in our creative children’s production and our tribute to So You Think You Can Dance brought dance to a new generation as well as to our audience. In addition, our audience was entertained by our annual Father/Daughter production. The showcase also highlighted our showstopper performances from the studio’s award winning competition teams.
Over the last several years, Le Danse's competition teams continue to take high honors each year and this year was no different. The studio’s competition teams competed at Nexstar Dance Competition & Showbiz Talent Competition in March and then again at Starquest Competition in April. In the Solo Categories, the studio won 10 Platinum, 10 High Gold, 5 Gold, 4 Diamond First Place and 1 Ruby First Place Awards. Their duets & trios won 4 Platinum, 8 High Gold, 3 Gold, 1 Diamond Second Place and 1 Ruby First Place Awards. The studio’s group entries were awarded with 5 High Gold, 1 Gold, 2 Diamond Second Place and 1 Ruby 1st Place Awards. In addition to the category awards, the studio also won numerous Overall High Score Awards in all categories including 2 Overall High Scores in the Solo category by Gianna Raimo & Tarrah Bilto, 6 Overall High Score Awards in the Duet/Trio Category and 2 Overall High Score Awards in the Group Category. The judges at the competitions also award special “judges” awards to routines that they feel stood out in the competition for various reasons. In total Le Danse won 5 Judges Awards in the Solo Category, 1 Judges Award in the Duet/Trio Category and 3 Judges Awards in the Group Category.
Some of the top winners were Gianna Raimo who won 17 Place out of the top 20 Soloists and Tarrah Bilto who won 6th Place Overall High Score for her tap solo. This was quite the accomplishment as these soloists were chosen by the judges out of over 500 dance entries. Lyrical Trio, “Love Story” was awarded with 9th Place Overall High Score, Duet “Chaplin” was awarded 8th Place Overall High Score, Jazz Trio “Real Wild Child” was awarded both 4th & 1st Place Overall High Score Awards & Jazz Group, “Sassy Girl” was awarded with 6th & 4th Place Overall High Score Awards.

Le Danse has been voted 2012 Wayne Patch Readers Choice Winner for Best Dance Studio. Located in the Wayne community for 28 years, Le Danse is well deserving of this title & would like to thank everyone who voted for the studio. Le Danse is extremely proud of its students’ recent accomplishments. Two of its seniors, Stephanie Isaacson and Sarina Taggart, were recently accepted into the prestigious Rockette Summer Intensive dance program. The girls auditioned in January with over 1,000 hopefuls for the few coveted spots. The girls will be seen this summer on MSG's “The Rockette Summer Intensive” show. Also on the rise is senior Dana Zoon, accepted into the Joffrey Ballet Summer Intensive, and juniors Allie Simone, Valerie Zoon and Jenna Mainero, who were accepted into the American Academy of Ballet Summer School.
Le Danse's current junior and senior teams won numerous top honors and awards at several regional competitions throughout the state. Top winners were Gianna Raimo, who won Second Runner-Up Miss Teen Showbiz, Allie Simone, who won First Runner-Up Junior Miss Showbiz and Tarrah Bilto, who won Second Runner-Up Junior Miss Showbiz. These soloists were chosen by the judges out of over 500 dance entries.

Le Danse welcomes students of all ages and levels to learn, perform, and compete in a professional, friendly, family-like environment with a professional staff. The studio's curriculum includes ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, pointe, musical theater, gymnastics, boys' classes and technique classes. Children's programs consist of preschool classes (for 2.5–4 year olds) and children's workshops (5–7 year olds). Both programs teach fundamentals of ballet, tap and jazz, concentrating on confidence and performance ability.
Recreational classes are beginner through advanced, for children 8 and up. Le Danse also offers a fabulous, fun and inspiring adult program. Don't forget father/daughter and mother/daughter classes — Le Danse originals. The studio teaches choreography for wedding day dances, and has courses in acting, yoga, pilates and Zumba-style workouts. The studio also offers training for dance teams. Competition classes are available by audition only. This past June, Le Danse once again had a full house at their 27th “CONCEPTS IN MOTION 2012” which was held at the Metro Y in Wayne. The studio produces annual showcases that high-light the utmost in talent, creativity & entertainment. This year’s showcase presented our dancers in artistic and interesting pieces each with an individual dance concept. Our tiniest dancers performed in our creative Fairytale Tea Party production, our ballet was an original production entitled Le Carnivale des Reves which was brought to life though our dancers talent. In addition to these creative productions, our audience was entertained by our annual Father/Daughter productions. This year our young dancers danced with their Dads as well as our graduating seniors who also danced with their Dads. The showcase also highlighted our showstopper performances from the studio’s award winning competition teams.
Over the last several years, Le Danse's competition teams continue to take high honors each year and this year was no different. The studio’s competition teams competed at Nexstar Dance Competition & Showbiz Talent Competition in March and then again at Onstage New York in April. In the Solo Categories, the studio won 7 Platinum, 11 First Place, 6 High Gold, 1 Second Place, 10 Gold and 1 High Silver Award. Their duets & trios won 4 Platinum, 5 First Place, 2 High Gold, 1 Second Place, 5 Gold & 1 High Silver Award. The studio’s group entries were awarded with 3 Platinum, 4 First Place, 2 High Gold, 1 Second Place & 4 Gold Awards. In addition to the category awards, the studio also won numerous Overall High Score Awards in all categories including 8 First Overall High Scores, 6 Second Overall High Scores, 5 Third Overall High Scores, 5 Fourth Overall High Scores, 1 Fifth Overall High Score, 5 Sixth Overall High Scores, 5 Seventh Overal1 High Scores, 2 Eighth Overall High Scores and 2 Tenth Overall High Scores. The judges at the competitions also award special “judges” awards to routines that they feel stood out in the competition for various reasons. In total Le Danse won 11 Judges Awards which included 2 Exceptional Potential, Exceptional Attack, 2 Exceptional Stage Presence, Exceptional Footwork, Exceptional Armography, 2 Exceptional Focus, Exceptional Storytelling, Exceptional Costume, Exceptional Concept, Bubbliscious and Seamless Transitions. Gianna Raimo & Valerie Zoon won 1st Place Costume Award at Showbiz and Dana Zoon won 2nd Runner-Up Costume Award also at Showbiz.

Once again, Le Danse had a full house at their 26th annual showcase entitled, "ONSTAGE 2011" which was held at the North Jersey YM-YWHA this past June. The studio, located in Wayne, has continuously produced showcases that bring the utmost in talent, creativity & entertainment in the county. The showcase highlighted the studio's talented students in various musical productions from the best of Divas, the best of Glee, our Barnyard Cabaret children's production as well as our annual Father/Daughter production and the showstopper performances from the studio's award winning competition teams.
Le Danse's competition teams took high honors at Dance America, Onstage New York and Nexstar Competitions. The studio won over 120 awards in total, among them 18 Platinum, 25 High Gold, 11 Gold, 1 Premiere Gold, 3 High Silver Awards, as well as 28 First Place through Fifth Place Awards. Combining that with an additional 17 Overall High Score Awards, 5 Dancer of the Year Awards and 21 Special Judges Awards for "Exceptional & Outstanding Showmanship, Exceptional Storytelling, Exceptional Dramatics, Outstanding Acting, Outstanding Costume, Outstanding Partnering, Outstanding Shoes, And The Tony Goes To, Effortless Ease, Cool Concept, Outstanding Shimmy, Outstanding Style, Terrific Taps, Fabulous Feet, Outstanding Choreography and Top Performance" Awards. The top winners of this year's season were a Musical Theatre duet entitled "Money Money" and a jazz trio entitled "Steam Heat," both routines choreographed by the studio's directors, Diane Raimo & Patty De Dio. These two performances were honored with Platinum & High Gold Awards plus 1st & 2nd Place Overall High Score Awards in the Duet & Trio category. Our tap duet entitled "Accapella" was also a top winner in the tap category with Platinum Awards & 1st, 2nd & 4th Place Overall High Score Awards. Our top soloists for this season were Gianna Raimo who was awarded a High Gold Award, 4th Place Overall and a special award for National Dance Week's Most Promising Performer for her Musical Theatre Solo, Valerie Zoon winning Platinum & 2nd Place Overall and Allie Simone with a Platinum & 1st Place Award in the Jazz Solo category and Tarrah Bilto with a Platinum & 1st Place in the Tap Solo category. Le Danse is proud of being the recipient of "The Class Act Award," which was awarded to them at Onstage NY Competition for the past three years. There was a three night sell-out this past June as Le Danse students performed at North Jersey YM-YWHA. Located in Wayne, the studio celebrated its 25th anniversary showcase, entitled, “GALA 25.” The showcase highlighted the studio's talented students in various production numbers from the last 25 years of shows.
The studio’s competition teams wowed the audience with their award winning performances. Since April Le Danse has won over 100 awards. Among them were Platinum, High Gold, Gold and High Silver Awards. In addition to these outstanding honors the studio was also recognized with Overall High Score Awards in the solo, duet, trio & group categories, Dancer of the Year Awards for our outstanding soloists and Special Judges Awards for "Exceptional Energy, Exceptional Showmanship, Exceptional Timing & Rhythm, Exceptional Stage Presence, Exceptional Connection to Each Other, Exceptional Style, Exceptional Precision, Exceptional Smile, Disco Diva, Could Have Watched You All Night, Fun to Watch, Sassy and Outstanding Axles” and the studio won the Class Act Award. LE DANSE - CELEBRATING 25 YEARS OF DANCE!
Le Danse, a contemporary studio for professional dance instruction is proud to be celebrating 26 years in the Wayne community. Under the direction of Diane Raimo and Patty De Dio, the studio has received many awards and accolades throughout the years. The staff at Le Danse is comprised of Broadway professionals and master instructors. The studio holds membership in Dance Educators of America as well as BMI, ASCAP, SESAC and Professional Dance Teachers Association.
The studio just held their 25th annual showcase for three evening performances at the YM-YWHA in Wayne. Highlights included our annual tradition, Father/Daughter production numbers. Although the Father/Daughter showstopper has become an annual tradition at our recital, it was special and at the same time bittersweet. It showcased our graduating senior dancers, Kimberley Hoyle & Kirsten Zoon with their Dads, Steve Hoyle & Ed Zoon. The girls have been with Le Danse since they were five & three. They are now 17 years old and are ready to go to Fordham and Loyola Universities. Growing up at Le Danse and watching the girls become beautiful, smart and talented young women is a great reward. As directors, Diane and Patty remember, this is one of the things that make doing what we do meaningful and worthwhile. The girls honored Diane and Patty with a special presentation at the studio's 25th anniversary show which was held in June. Tears were everywhere as longtime classmates Stephanie Isaacson, Stephanie Mangini and Dana Zoon looked on. The girls made a farewell video for Kimberley & Kirsten, something they did on their own so the girls will always remember their time at Le Danse.
